How to Join AAWC?
Qualification
- Incumbent parliamentarians in Asian countries who are interested in resolving water-related issues through their legislative mandates.
Application Process for AAWC Membership
Step 1. Download the AAWC membership application form from the website or request it via email.
Step 2. Complete the application form and submit it to the AAWC Secretariat by e-mail (aawcsecretariat@gmail.com).
Step 3. After the reviewing process, the application form will be submitted to the AAWC Board of Council for examination of the applicant’s qualifications.
Step 4. The AAWC Board of Council will approve or disapprove the membership during the Board meeting.
Step 5. Once the membership is approved, you will become an official member of the AAWC.
Member’s Rights
- Members have the right to vote at the Board Meeting;
- Members can apply for the Board Membership consecutively;
- Members can suggest potential AAWC activities at the Board Meeting;
- Members can receive materials and publications produced by AAWC and review materials concerning AAWC operations;
Succession of Membership
If a member loses his/her own position and is no longer an incumbent in their respective Parliament/National Assembly, he/she should recommend a successor by submitting a replacement proposal to the Secretariat; then the membership of that country in AAWC will be maintained.
